Nest Mug

Part of a special collaboration with KSX Art, these intricately made mugs draw inspiration from Kellie's signature cyanotype process. While not true cyanotypes, we recreated the soft botanical feel by transforming Kellie's original designs into screen prints, which were then carefully and delicately transferred onto my clay using underglaze. The result is a collection that captures the dreamy, organic spirit of cyanotype through the lens of handmade ceramics

Every mug begins on the wheel, where it is carefully thrown, trimmed, and handled by my hands. Each piece is then layered with underglaze before the designs are screen printed onto the surface, either in white over rich cobalt and golden tones or directly onto the natural white clay body using blue and yellow underglaze. The result is a soft, organic finish inspired by the dreamy look of cyanotype photography. Designed for both beauty and function.
